Friday 21 August: We left New York at 6.50am and headed for Miami. There we changed flights for our short hop to Grand Cayman. This the view as we fly over the Florida Keys. The bridge is the one that was blown up by Marines in "True Lies" starring Arnie Schwarznegger.

Friday - This is the shores of Cuba as we pass overhead. Lucky for us, Fidel allows flights over certain parts, and I can see why.. there's nuthin down there except a desert island and coral reefs.

Friday, 2.30pm - Well, we've arrived at the Hyatt, Grand Cayman, and what a dandy hotel this seems to be. With the beach at one side, the pool, and a Jack Nicklaus golf course surrounded by the Hotel rooms and villa's, waterways and palm trees, this certainly was the pick of the island's hotels.

So now you want to take a look at the beach huh? Well here it is.. and there's seven miles of it.. pristine sands, coral reefs about 300m offshore and waitresses bring Strawberry Dacquiries at my command.. aahh dandy.

Saturday 22 (Happy Birthday Helen!!): Here we are about to get ready to dive on the Paradise Reef and a shipwreck in 50ft of water. Not the worlds most difficult divve, but the visibility was incredible and it was great to see my first shipwreck underwater. Abe's instructor is the chick on the left. She didn't look so good underwater, but none of us do!
